Living in Community
A big part of LiC's mission is to work with systems of communication, mentoring, conflict resolution and decision making that are efficient, beautiful, dynamic and potentially challenging.
This means keeping track of and acknowledging power dynamics and interpersonal conflicts that arise.
A commitment and willingness to exploring these things on a personal level, as well as within the group, and an openness to exploring different ways of working, is asked of people joining the project. [For more information, see the ‘Community’ section on this website].
There is no set price to pay for joining the walk, and the costs of the project also need to be supported.
If this project feels right for you, please apply regardless of your of financial situation.
Please check the application forms for a detailed breakdown of costs.
It is important to acknowledge that taking part in a project like this requires a certain amount of privilege. Some may feel safe to walk and wild camp in the UK, others may not; for others there may be physical, social or financial barriers.
If you are excited about this project and there is something that could make it easier for you to join, or if you would like to be a part of the project in a different way that works for you, please get in touch and we can start a conversation.
It's also important to acknowledge that this project isn't for everyone.
